A family-run agricultural farm is hiring a Farm Worker (Ouvrier agricole 100% H/F) in Vouvry, Valais, Switzerland. This is a full-time fixed-term seasonal opportunity offering CHF 17 to CHF 20 per hour, with individual accommodation provided on-site. Motivated beginners are welcome, and there may be an opportunity to extend the contract permanently.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day activities of the family farm, including harvesting, crop and vineyard maintenance, animal care, and general farm work. The position involves working outdoors and assisting with different agricultural tasks throughout the season.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Harvesting fruit, including grapes and apricots depending on the season
- Maintaining crops and vineyards
- Carrying out general agricultural and farm maintenance work
- Providing care and assistance for farm animals
- Operating small agricultural machinery when appropriately licensed
- Keeping the farm, work areas, and equipment clean and organized
- Supporting other general tasks required around the farm
- Following safe working practices when handling agricultural tools and equipment
- Working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Assisting the farm team with seasonal activities as required
Candidate Requirements
The employer is looking for a motivated and reliable person who enjoys practical outdoor work. Previous agricultural experience is preferred, but motivated candidates without professional farm experience may also be considered.
