Klöckner & Co SE is hiring a Chauffeur Kat. C/E 100% (w/m) in Buchs, Switzerland. This is a full-time position for a professional driver responsible for delivering materials to construction sites throughout German-speaking Switzerland using a semi-trailer truck equipped with a crane.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for reliable and timely deliveries while ensuring that all transport regulations and safety requirements are followed. The role also includes supporting warehouse and logistics activities and maintaining the assigned vehicle in good condition.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Delivering materials on time to construction sites throughout German-speaking Switzerland
- Operating a semi-trailer truck equipped with a crane
- Following all applicable ARV1 regulations and working-time requirements
- Checking the length and weight of materials before each journey
- Assisting with loading and unloading activities when required
- Supporting colleagues and other team members within the logistics area
- Ensuring materials are handled and transported safely
- Carrying out careful cleaning, maintenance, and general upkeep of the assigned vehicle
- Reporting any vehicle or equipment issues when necessary
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate should have the appropriate driving qualifications and be comfortable working independently while also supporting the wider logistics team.
Candidates should have:
- A valid Category C/E driving licence
- Professional experience as a truck or heavy vehicle driver
- Experience operating a semi-trailer truck is an advantage
- Experience with crane-equipped vehicles is beneficial
- Good knowledge of transport safety requirements and ARV1 regulations
- Ability to check material dimensions and weights before transportation
- A responsible and safety-conscious approach to driving and material handling
- Willingness to assist with loading, unloading, and general logistics work
- Good physical ability for logistics and transport-related tasks
- Careful and responsible handling of company vehicles and equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with colleagues
