The Role
The company is looking for a self-motivated Courier to work with its Christchurch Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, transporting and delivering goods safely and efficiently while following assigned routes and schedules.
Core responsibilities include:
- Loading goods safely and arranging them for efficient delivery.
- Unloading shipments and obtaining confirmation of deliveries.
- Following assigned routes and scheduled delivery times.
- Selecting suitable delivery routes based on destinations.
- Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading.
- Maintaining attention to detail throughout delivery operations.
- Reporting vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Following workplace and transport safety procedures.
Candidate Requirements
FedEx is seeking applicants who bring:
- A valid full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- A high level of physical fitness and a positive “can do” attitude.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Good geographical knowledge of Christchurch and surrounding suburbs.
- Previous courier or logistics industry experience is an advantage.
Full training will be provided, making the opportunity suitable for candidates who meet the essential requirements and are prepared to learn the company’s delivery procedures.
