The Role
The successful candidates will work as part of a painting team on projects in different locations. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and wall coverings, completing repairs, and ensuring finished work meets quality expectations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces before painting
- Repairing cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections
- Preparing and mixing paint to achieve the required colour and texture
- Applying paint to interior and exterior surfaces
- Measuring, cutting, and installing wallpaper and other wall coverings
- Advising customers on colours and suitable wall covering options
- Erecting scaffolding and swing stages when required
- Attaching and working with appropriate rigging equipment
- Using airless spray equipment for painting applications
- Applying paint using brushes and rollers
- Performing drywall taping and patching
- Working at heights and in outdoor environments
- Maintaining attention to detail throughout painting projects
- Following workplace safety procedures
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Completing physically demanding painting and preparation tasks

Candidate Requirements
NEXT LEVEL PAINTING & DEC LTD is looking for reliable and experienced candidates who have practical painting skills and can work effectively in different environments.
Candidates should have:
- 2 to less than 3 years of experience as a painter or in a related field
- Secondary school graduation certificate
- Ability to communicate in English
- Experience preparing and repairing surfaces
- Experience with brush and roller painting
- Experience using airless spray equipment
- Experience with drywall taping and patching
- Ability to distinguish between different colours
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
