The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Arranging the bar area and creating attractive displays
• Organizing the operations of the cocktail lounge or bar
• Preparing food and short-order items
• Cleaning the bar area and washing glassware
• Serving food and snacks to customers
• Cleaning the draft beer system
• Recommending suitable drink selections to customers
• Training other staff members
• Collecting cash, credit card, and debit card payments
• Operating the cash register
• Operating a video lottery terminal
• Recording and balancing beverage sales
• Storing beverage and food products properly
• Ordering bar stock and maintaining inventory
• Controlling and monitoring beverage stock
• Taking beverage orders from serving staff or directly from customers
• Preparing mixed drinks, wine, draft beer, bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Addressing customer complaints and concerns
• Resolving conflict situations professionally
• Enforcing provincial and territorial liquor legislation and regulations
• Maintaining an organized and clean work area
• Providing efficient customer service throughout each shift

Candidate Requirements
