The Hong Kong Jockey Club is hiring a Sports & Leisure Attendant in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong SAR. This is a contract/temp opportunity for a customer-focused and responsible individual who can support Members and guests across children’s facilities, recreation areas and sports outlets.
The role involves handling reservations, providing guest services, maintaining a safe environment for children, assisting with administrative duties and supporting promotional activities across the Club’s facilities.
The Role
The Hong Kong Jockey Club is looking for a Sports & Leisure Attendant to join its recreation team and provide professional services to Members and guests.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing children’s facility reservations, assisting visitors, maintaining safety standards and supporting the day-to-day operations of recreation outlets.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Handling Members’ reservations and registrations for children’s facilities and related services.
- Managing check-in and check-out for Members using children’s play areas.
- Providing on-the-spot assistance to maintain a safe and welcoming play environment.
- Prioritizing children’s safety while monitoring recreation facilities.
- Answering incoming calls and responding to Members’ enquiries.
- Performing general office administration and maintaining attendance records and internal documents.
- Helping promote Clubhouse programs, facilities and services through verbal communication.
- Assisting at other recreation outlets, including sports facilities, when assigned by senior staff.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service to Members and guests.
- Supporting the wider recreation team with other duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking applicants who bring:
- At least 1 year’s experience in customer service or a relevant field.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese and simple English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good influencing and customer-service skills.
