Dolce Pizza is hiring a pizza and crepe chef/front staff to join its team in Lake Tekapo, Canterbury, New Zealand. This is a full-time opportunity for a hospitality professional who can prepare authentic pizzas and crepes, serve customers and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
The successful candidate will work in a busy restaurant environment and will be responsible for preparing crepe mix and pizza dough, cooking food to Dolce standards, supporting customer service, maintaining kitchen hygiene and working closely with the team.
The Role
Dolce Pizza is looking for a Pizza and Crepe Chef/Front Staff to support its daily restaurant operations.
The successful candidate will prepare pizzas and crepes, assist with food preparation and recipe development, serve customers and help maintain a clean and organised kitchen and service area.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Preparing crepe mix and pizza dough according to Dolce standards.
- Cooking pizzas and crepes while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
- Preparing freshly squeezed orange juices and other menu items as required.
- Assisting with menu development and recipe testing.
- Using fresh, high-quality ingredients to prepare authentic and flavourful food.
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace.
- Following food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Working efficiently in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Supporting other kitchen and front-of-house duties as required.

Candidate Requirements
Dolce Pizza is seeking applicants who bring:
- Previous experience in food trucks or an equivalent fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment.
- Experience working as a chef, cook or front staff member in hospitality.
- Passion for using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Ability to prepare authentic and flavourful pizzas and crepes.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive and customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Current Food Safety certification, or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work in a busy kitchen and customer service environment.
- Experience training or managing kitchen staff may be an advantage.
