Healthworks (Holdings) Co Ltd is hiring a Factory Manager (Food Production) for its production operations in Tsuen Wan District, Hong Kong. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional responsible for overseeing daily production operations, scheduling, material planning, warehouse stock levels, and production line performance.
The role is suitable for an experienced manager with a background in manufacturing, food production, industrial engineering, or related operations. Candidates should have strong knowledge of production planning, ERP systems, HACCP, and ISO 22000 requirements.
The Role
Healthworks (Holdings) Co Ltd is looking for a Factory Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of its Production Department and ensure production activities meet departmental targets.
The successful candidate will manage production scheduling and material planning while coordinating procurement, warehouse operations, production reporting, equipment maintenance, workplace hygiene, safety, and production efficiency.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
- Overseeing overall production scheduling and material planning.
- Monitoring production line performance to ensure departmental targets are achieved.
- Managing procurement planning to support production requirements.
- Coordinating material availability to meet planned production targets.
- Overseeing warehouse stock levels to ensure inventory can meet sales requirements.
- Monitoring production materials and inventory levels.
- Preparing production data and relevant operational reports.
- Maintaining accurate daily production records.
- Ensuring production records comply with HACCP and ISO 22000 requirements.
- Coordinating with engineering personnel to arrange preventive maintenance for production machinery.
- Monitoring production equipment and machinery performance.
- Ensuring the production floor maintains appropriate hygiene and safety standards.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of overall environmental sanitation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency.
- Optimizing energy consumption and production costs.
- Coordinating with relevant departments to maintain smooth production operations.
- Ensuring production activities are completed efficiently and according to departmental requirements.
- Performing other production management duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
Healthworks (Holdings) Co Ltd is seeking applicants who bring:
- At least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- At least 3 years of experience at managerial level.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Food Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing operations.
- Advanced ERP or Oracle knowledge.
- Knowledge of ISO 22000 standards.
- Knowledge of HACCP requirements.
- Understanding of production quality, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
- Strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with production, engineering, procurement, warehouse, and other departments.
- Experience in a Food & Beverage company is an advantage.
Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for the Assistant Factory Manager position.
Candidates should also be comfortable managing production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while balancing production targets, inventory requirements, quality standards, workplace safety, and operating costs.
