Electrician – Meter Technician needed in Australia

Essential Network Solutions PTY LTD is hiring Electricians – Meter Technicians in the Armidale, Tamworth and North West region of New South Wales, Australia. These are full-time opportunities offering $50 to $55 per hour. The company is seeking motivated electrical workers to join its growing metering team, with ongoing work available across the region.

The successful candidates will install, exchange, inspect and troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase electricity meters, communications equipment and embedded network metering systems. Applicants must hold an open electrical worker’s licence and be willing to travel throughout the region as required. Previous metering experience is not essential, as training will be provided. Switchboard experience is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrician – Meter Technician will carry out electrical metering and communications installation, maintenance and fault-finding work while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing and exchanging single-phase and three-phase whole-current meters and communications equipment
• Performing installations and exchanges for embedded network meters and communications systems
• Identifying, diagnosing and rectifying faults in metering and communications equipment
• Completing assigned work accurately and within strict deadlines
• Working independently while following established safety procedures and quality standards
• Providing professional customer service and maintaining positive client relationships
• Representing the company professionally and taking pride in the quality of completed work
• Travelling throughout the North West region to complete assigned jobs as required

Candidate Requirements
