Key Responsibilities
As a Machine Operator, your responsibilities will vary depending on your assigned department:
Coil Shop Duties:
- Determine coil sizes and adjust tooling accordingly
- Select dies for pressing and expansion tasks
- Adjust tooling for bending operations
- Load programs into logic processors
- Interpret job sheets and technical drawings
- Measure coil length and fin spacing, making necessary adjustments
- Change tooling to meet production requirements
Sheet Metal Duties:
- Set up and monitor machines based on specifications
- Adjust machines and resolve minor breakdowns
- Perform routine maintenance (TPM)
- Load raw materials and manage work queues
- Transport finished products using forklift or hoist
- Measure dimensions and ensure product accuracy
- Follow safety and environmental procedures
