Position Summary
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing structural systems for high-performance façade applications. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and construction teams to ensure our solutions are not only structurally sound but also elegant and compliant with international and regional standards. Your first three months will be based in Sharjah, UAE, for onboarding and training, after which you will relocate to our project hub in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop structural design concepts and detailed engineering calculations for advanced façade systems.
- Use structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) to simulate loads, stresses, and deformation.
- Ensure that designs meet UAE and international building codes, safety, and sustainability requirements.
- Collaborate with architects and design engineers to integrate structural performance with aesthetic goals.
- Conduct on-site inspections to validate design implementation and monitor structural integrity.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and submittals for internal review and client approval.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving during project construction and installation phases.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with timelines, costs, and performance goals.
- Contribute to design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments for structural feasibility.
- Support innovation and R&D in the development of new facade systems and attachment methods.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates to management and clients.
- Promote best practices in quality assurance and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Structural Engineer Jobs in Saudi Arabia Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural engineering, ideally within façade design or cladding systems.
- Proficient in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro or equivalent structural analysis tools.
- Knowledge of UAE building codes and international standards (e.g., BS, Eurocode, ACI, ASCE).
- Strong understanding of construction materials used in façade applications (metal, stone, composite, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and engineering judgment.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
