💼 Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across school facilities. Working within a team, you’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
🧹 Key Duties
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, kitchens, and outdoor areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Operating cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners, polishers, blowers)
- Collecting litter and emptying rubbish bins
- Removing graffiti and reporting maintenance issues
- Securing rooms (locking doors/windows, turning off lights)
- Safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and materials
✅ Requirements
Mandatory:
- Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check) – or eligible to obtain
- Physically fit to perform cleaning duties
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment
- Ability to travel within the Diocese if required
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemical use
- Previous experience in cleaning, especially in schools
