Permanent Part-Time Laundry Assistant
(Laundry & Dry-Cleaning – Aged Care Support)

Hours: 14 hours per week (Saturday & Sunday, 8:00am–2:00pm)

Key Responsibilities

As a Laundry Assistant, you will:

  • Provide efficient, high-quality laundry services for residents

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry items

  • Maintain laundry equipment and ensure all areas are clean and organised

  • Follow hygiene, safety, and infection-control procedures

  • Work independently and as part of a multiskilled care team

  • Uphold high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and resident dignity

Required Qualifications & Skills

Roseneath Lifecare is looking for candidates who bring:

  • Previous laundry experience (preferred, but full training provided)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Physical fitness to perform repetitive lifting and standing tasks

  • Awareness of Health & Safety and Infection Control practices

  • Understanding of Ngā Paerewa sector standards and application of the Treaty of Waitangi in the workplace
