Position Summary
The Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled construction duties including framing, installation, and finishing work in accordance with blueprints and building codes.
This role requires hands-on experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
As a Carpenter, your responsibilities will include:
- Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Preparing layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
- Working effectively within a team environment

Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 2 years of carpentry experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and building codes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong measuring and layout skills
Work Environment
This role involves:
- On-site construction work (no remote option available)
- Physical labour including lifting, measuring, cutting, and installing materials
