About Westbury Stud

Our Karaka farm is home to top-quality cattle and beautifully maintained grounds, and we take pride in keeping our environment safe, efficient, and world-class.

By joining our Maintenance Team, you’ll become part of a supportive, hardworking group dedicated to maintaining the farm to the highest standard. Training will be provided, offering a great opportunity for someone eager to grow their skills in a farming environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Farm Maintenance Assistant, you will assist with:

• Daily cattle management

• Garden and lawn care

• Pasture maintenance and improvement

• Servicing and maintaining farm machinery and vehicles

• Repair and upkeep of farm buildings, fencing, and water systems

• Safe operation of heavy equipment such as tractors and ride-on mowers

• Supporting general farm operations as needed

• Following instructions from the Maintenance Team Leader

• Contributing positively to a productive team culture

This is a varied and physical role suited to someone who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Westbury Stud is looking for someone who:

• Has good written and spoken English

• Can take instruction well and follow guidance

• Works effectively both independently and in a team

• Maintains high standards with strong attention to detail

• Is physically fit and able to handle demanding tasks

• Has previous farm experience (advantageous but not essential)

• Is willing to learn and take on diverse responsibilities

• Is reliable, self-motivated, and proactive
