Key Responsibilities
As a Farm Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with livestock management such as mustering, drenching, drafting, and TB testing
- Monitoring animal health and welfare
- Supporting pasture management activities
- Carrying out general farm maintenance tasks
- Operating farm machinery and equipment
- Adapting to and using new farming technologies
- Supporting productive and profitable farm operations
- Contributing positively to team culture and upholding Ngāi Tahu values

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in stock and pasture management
- Ability to handle horses and dogs
- Experience maintaining farm tools, machinery, and equipment

- Commitment to animal welfare and environmental performance
- Willingness to continue learning and developing skills
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga, and te reo Māori
