Responsibilities
As an Electrician, you will:
- Install underground, surface-mounted, and overhead wiring and cables
- Splice, join, and connect electrical wires and components
- Design and construct low-voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase services
- Test and measure voltage, loads, grounding, and circuit integrity
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate electrical faults
- Renovate and upgrade electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
- Install power generation, standby power, and power conditioning systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs
- Keep accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, maps, and specifications
- Estimate material requirements and project costs
- Instruct and support apprentices on-site
