Job Summary
The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our kitchen. You will support chefs and service staff by ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are cleaned and sanitized promptly. This position is perfect for someone detail-oriented, physically active, and ready to be part of a dynamic kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment
- Scrape food debris from plates before washing and place clean items in designated storage areas
- Ensure cleanliness of dishwashing area, including sinks, floors, walls, and machines
- Assist with setting up and closing kitchen cleaning stations daily
- Help clean kitchen equipment, counters, and work areas
- Collect and dispose of kitchen waste appropriately
- Restock serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments
- Assist wait staff by clearing and resetting tables during peak hours
- Transport used linens to laundry or designated areas
- Support unloading, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and stock
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate with kitchen and service team for smooth back-of-house operations
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen assistance is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods
- Familiarity with basic hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
