About The Travel Inn Hotel

The Travel Inn Hotel is a well-established, boutique four-star property known for its warm hospitality, sleek accommodation, and exceptional guest service. Located moments from Lygon Street, Melbourne’s iconic dining precinct, our hotel offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and contemporary style.

Our Front Office team plays a key role in shaping the guest experience—from first interaction to final farewell. We pride ourselves on delivering friendly, professional, and efficient service within a supportive environment that promotes learning and career development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Hotel Receptionist at The Travel Inn Hotel, you will:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests

  • Manage check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments

  • Handle guest enquiries, phone calls, and email communications

  • Process reservations, modifications, cancellations, and payments

  • Maintain high standards of presentation and professionalism

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and guest information handling

  • Support smooth daily operations at the front desk

  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment

  • Uphold hotel standards for service, communication, and guest care

  • Assist the Front Office Manager with administrative tasks when required

This position operates on a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays, between 7:00am and 11:00pm.

Required Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for candidates who bring:

  • A strong customer service mindset and positive attitude

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong attention to detail and high organisational ability

  • Confidence multitasking during busy periods

  • A professional appearance and high grooming standards

  • Computer literacy; Microsoft Office experience required

  • Experience with Protel Cloud is an advantage (training provided)

  • A current and valid driver’s licence

Preferred but not essential:

  • Previous hotel front office or reception experience

  • Hospitality students or recent graduates seeking long-term career growth in hotel operations

Salary & Benefits
