Position Summary

The Cleaner plays a critical front-line role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of Edon-managed facilities. You will be responsible for carrying out both light and heavy-duty cleaning tasks in accordance with the company’s high standards and client expectations. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong sense of responsibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to urgent or unexpected cleanup situations.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Execute deep cleaning tasks, including carpet shampooing, floor stripping and waxing, wall and ceiling washing, and window cleaning.
  • Remove garbage, recycling, and waste materials in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Move furniture and equipment to support facility setups and cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure all work complies with Edon Management’s cleanliness standards and client contract requirements.
  • Follow safety procedures to protect yourself, coworkers, and facility users.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful attitude in all interactions with clients, tenants, and teammates.
  • Accurately document work tasks, time entries, and materials used as required.
  • Represent Edon positively as a visible and trusted front-line team member.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Basic proficiency in English (reading and writing).
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work on-call shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong work ethic, with a commitment to completing tasks thoroughly and on time.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity without direct supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Respectful communication style and ability to work well within a team.
  • Prior cleaning experience is an asset but not mandatory – training provided.
